LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine announces its third annual “Let It Snow” Craft and Gift Fair to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at 130 East Ave.

There will be more than 30 local crafters with a variety of items, including holiday gifts and decorations, stamping and scrapbooking items, wooden gifts, handmade soaps, pillows, baskets, centerpieces, jewelry, fleece and candy.

Luncheon will be available with a choice of a homemade fish chowder or hot dogs. A raffle will also take place offering a chance to win more than 30 items. There is no admission charge, however donations are welcome. For more information, call the YWCA at 795-4050.

LEWISTON – A Christmas craft and bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Montello Manor, 540 College St.

LEWISTON – A holiday fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Pettingill Elementary School. Raffles will include TV/DVD/VCR combo and 100 gallons of oil.

Craft fair

GRAY – A Christmas craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Gray American Legion, 15 Lewiston Road, sponsored by the post auxiliary. Lunch will include fish chowder, sandwiches and hot dogs. The hall is handicapped accessible.

School fair

MINOT – A Christmas craft fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Minot Consolidated School, Shaw Hill Road. All proceeds will go to the eighth-grade class trip and graduation functions. There will be lunch, a bake sale, kid’s room, door prizes, 50/50 and babysitting for shoppers. NEW GLOUCESTER – The annual Shaker Christmas Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, Route 26. Highlights will include the Good Room with homemade food, the Book Room, the Shaker Store, the Herb Room and the White Elephant Room.

Holiday fair

NEW GLOUCESTER – Memorial School will hold its 16th annual Holiday Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in the gym, Route 231. There will be crafts and several make-and-take craft projects for children. Santa and the Pocket Lady may make their rounds at the fair, and there will be a book fair in the library. The kitchen will be open for a quick lunch. The proceeds will benefit educational programs for all students at the school.

Grange event

NEW GLOUCESTER – The annual Sabbathday Lake Grange Christmas fair and craft sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Grange Hall, Route 26.

Items will include knitted and crocheted items, homecooked foods, old books, Christmas items and crafts. There will also be a coffee shop and snack bar.

POLAND – Santa Comes to Poland will hold its annual Christmas fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Poland Community School. Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 9 a.m. will be free for the children. There will be games, crafts, raffles and items for children to make. Photos and videos with Santa will also be available as well as lunch.

Poinsettia fair

POLAND – A Poinsettia Christmas Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Poland Community Church across from the library. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be gifts, wreaths, cheese and a silent auction.

LISBON FALLS – A Christmas craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Lisbon High School cafeteria. WAYNE – The annual Wayne Holiday Craft Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Wayne Elementary School, Pond Road. There will be quality crafters, attic treasures, breakfast and lunch.

Church fair

WINTHROP – A Christmas fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Winthrop Congregational Church. The fair will feature baked foods, Christmas cookies, candy, jellies, crafts, gifts, ornaments, collectibles, jewelry and wreaths.

Silent auction items will include certificates and donations from local businesses. Items made by the Mayan women of Guatemala will be available, and there will be raffle items. Santa will be on hand for photos.

A noon lunch will feature fish chowder, lobster salad rolls, hamburgers and hot dogs. The building is handicapped accessible. All proceeds will benefit the church.

Silent auction

KENTS HILL – A New England Community Christmas Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Torsey United Methodist Church. The event will feature a silent auction of specialty-theme baskets and quilters’ challenge baskets.

There will be handmade crafts and wreaths, special holiday food and baked goods, recycled treasures and a children’s room. A train display will be available for the children.

Lunch will feature fish and corn chowder, turkey salad rolls and pie.

AUGUSTA – St. Mark’s Church, 9 Summer St., will hold its annual Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. Featured tables will include baked goods, cheese, jewelry, wreaths, African ministries, crafts and white elephant. There will be photos with Santa. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. consisting of a clear meat lobster roll, chips, pickle, beverage and homemade pie.

RICHMOND – Crafters and collectors are invited to participate in the Christmas craft sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Enterprise Grange 48, Alexander Reed Road. There will be crafts, decorations, wreaths, gifts, collectibles, cookies, baked goods, old books and doll raffles. A coffee shop and snack bar will be available.

Art all around

BRUNSWICK – Arts Downtown and All Around, produced by the Brunswick Area Arts and Cultural Alliance, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 and 6.

Fifty arts, cultural events and workshops will be held throughout the Bath-Brunswick region. Follow the bright yellow flags to open studios, exhibits, demonstrations, receptions and special performances, free to the public in many venues, galleries and restaurants. BRUNSWICK – The 30th annual St. John’s Holiday Craft Fair, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, will feature crafts from more than 40 Maine artisans. Items will include handpainted wares, pottery, jewelry, baskets and quilts.

The parents and parishioners of St. John’s Church will host a lunch and Santa will be available for photos. There will be homemade cookies, fudge and a pie sale. A drawing will be held for a gift basket.

BRUNSWICK – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will sponsor its 67th annual Christmas fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the church, 27 Pleasant St. New tables will include crystal clear glass, notes ‘n totes and the pet place.

Other features will include baked goods, candy, a country store, wreaths, handknit items, handmade gifts, Christmas ornaments and jewelry.

Lunch will include fish chowder, beef stew, sandwiches and homemade desserts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit local charities.

Craftsmen

PORTLAND – The Society of Southern Maine Craftsmen will hold a Christmas in New England craft fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at McAuley High School/UNE Westbrook Gym, Stevens Avenue.
