AUBURN – The Woman’s Literary Union will present its Holiday Open House on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5, 6 and 7, at the Horatio G. Foss Mansion on Elm Street.
The rooms will be decorated for the holidays by club members and Provencher Landscaping of Lewiston. The open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Lorraine Roberge of Provencher Landscape will decorate the main meeting room with a Williamsburg theme, and the Take Along Gift Shoppe will offer opportunities for holiday shopping.
Tonie Ramsey will decorate the library with Holiday Elegance and the WLU Garden Club will do the sunroom as a Fragrant Garden. Cathy Westleigh will fill the dining room with a collection of Snowbabies.
Upstairs Marilyn Wilkinson will decorate a bedroom with angels and Toni Ramsey will use a visit from St. Nick to inspire the decor in her bedroom.
The upper hall will become an art gallery hung with original paintings from local artists. They include Marj DiRenzo, Joyce Coyne, Melanie Ness and Irene Duplisis of Auburn, Lynda Leonas Legare of Lewiston, Sandra Norton of Poland and Nancy Trider of Leeds.
Refreshments will be served in the dining room and a raffle will be held. Tickets will be $6 for adults and $2 for children 5 to 12. Children under 5 are admitted free.
