FARMINGTON – Bobby Deetjen pulled down 10 rebounds and dropped in a game-high 19 points to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to a 92-54 victory over Thomas (0-3) in men’s basketball Wednesday night.
Adam Rich and James Godley each had 15 points for Thomas. Luke Nielson dominated the boards with 14 rebounds for the Beavers (2-2).

UMF 79, Thomas 54
FARMINGTON – Lydia Coverdale scored a game-high 17 points to steer the University of Maine at Farmington to a 79-54 victory over Thomas in women’s basketball Wednesday night.
Kari Simpson dropped in 15 points and Karen Sirois and Desirae Haines each scored 12 for the Beavers. Thomas was paced by Kim Drosdik with 16 points.
Bates 84, Husson 41
LEWISTON – Four players scored in double figures as Bates College defeated Husson 84-41 in women’s basketball Wednesday night.
Jackie Olsen led the Bobcats (3-2) with 15 points. Teammate Olivia Zurek added 12. Husson (1-2) was led by Crystal Martin with 11. Bates outscored Husson 25-0, keeping Husson scoreless for over 10 minutes in the second half to take control of the game.
