1951 – 2003
STRONG – Erlon E. “Air Bear” Lisherness, 52, of Strong, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, at his home in Strong following a short illness.
He was born Feb. 11, 1951, in Strong, the son of Howard P. Sr. and Rita (Metcalf) Lisherness. He was educated in the schools of Strong.
He was employed at Forster Mfg. Co. and later for Cousineau Lumber until ill health forced his retirement. He attended Strong Church of the Nazarene. He was past member of the Pine Tree Trimmers, where he enjoyed flying power parachutes the past five years. He was also a member of the Strong Group AA since 1988. He enjoyed being out of doors studying Civil War History.
He is survived by two brothers, Paul Lisherness of Strong and Douglas Lisherness of Phillips; three sisters, Lorraine Wing of Strong, Carole Colby of Oxford and Barbara Bachelder of Farmington; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
