LEWISTON – Jeanne LeClair, 88, of Marsh Road, Sabattus, died Thursday, Dec. 4, at Marshwood Center for Health Care.

She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 4, 1915, the daughter of Omer and Marie Louise Cote Baril. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married April 26, 1941, to Don LeClair. Mrs. LeClair was a housewife and a lifelong member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church.

She was very talented and enjoyed making ceramics and wedding cakes. She was a volunteer at St. Peter’s Parish bean suppers for over 15 years. She sold her home in Lewiston to move next to her two sons in Sabattus and to be near her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Florence LeClair of Lewiston; two sons, Roger LeClair and his wife Diane and Leo LeClair all of Sabattus; five grandchildren, Amy Cherkassky, Nicole and Steven LeClair, Tina Martel and Cheryle O’Campo; seven great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Chelsey, Heath, Julia, Justin, Katelyn and Zachary; three brothers, Wilfred Baril of Lewiston, Conrad Baril and his wife Ethel of Barstow, Calif., and Roger Baril and his wife Lorraine of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Lionel Baril.
