1945 – 2003

LEWISTON – Jewel Kay Duperry (Ginger), 58, the daughter of Frank Hunt and May Hann, went home into the loving hands of our Lord Jesus on Dec. 4.

Born on Feb. 22 1945, in Logan, West Va. She moved to Lewiston in the summer of 1979. She earned her nursing degree in Maine in 1982 fulfilling a life time dream to help others that eventually lead her to her current place of employment at Falmouth by the Sea in Falmouth.

During the course of her nursing career she touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all including the wonderful friends at Falmouth of the Sea. She was truly a “Jewel” in many peoples eyes.

She was a servant of God and quiet and simple woman whose gift in life was giving unselflishly to others. She was compassionate and kind person. Always giving and placing others above herself. She was talented and pursued a gift as an artist.

She has written children’s books and has published poetry. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

She leaves behind two sons and two daughters, Gerald Duperry of Las Vegas, Nev., Thomas and Lori Duperry of Auburn, Darlene and Marcel Lapointe of Lewiston, Laura and Dale Saucier of Lewiston; nine grandchildren, Thomas Joseph (T.J), Brianna, Jessica, Dylan, Dustin, David, Drew, Travis, and Destiny.

She was predeceased by a son, Richard Duperry.
