MINOT – Crews from three towns late Friday responded to a single-car crash on Bucknam Bridge Road that left one person pinned inside a mangled vehicle.

Minot firefighters called for aid from Mechanic Falls and Auburn to help free that victim and treat others hurt in the 8:45 p.m. crash.

Police said it appeared the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle on a curve, not far from the intersection at Route 124.

Investigators said there were several people inside the car when it crashed over an embankment and into a large field.

LifeFlight helicopter landed in the field to transport one victim to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Androscoggin County Sheriff’s officials controlled traffic around the crash scene as Maine State Police began an investigation.

The identities of the victims were not available late Friday. The extent of injuries was also unavailable.
