Offerings include fitness and holiday programs.
LEWISTON – Central Maine Medical Center’s Senior Health and Wellness Services will offer the following programs to the region’s older residents during December:
Fit and Fun, a low-impact aerobics, strengthening, stretching and flexibility class., from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays. A fee will be charged.
“Putting the Ho-Ho-Ho Back into Your Holiday” will be the topic of a presentation from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16. Marcy Covey of the CMMC Health and Wellness Center will discuss how to exchange holiday stress for moments of laughter.
“Let’s Make a Holiday Craft” will be the presented from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10. Participants will have the opportunity to socialize while they make a holiday ornament. A small fee will be charged.
“Music for the Holidays” with Roger Bouffard will be presented from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19.
Bladder health consults with Angela Dubuc, RN, manager of the CMMC Bladder Control Center will take place Monday, Dec. 15, by appointment. Participants can meet one-on-one to discuss concerns and learn about possible solutions to bladder-related problems. The consults are offered free.
Free blood pressure screenings will be offered on a walk-in basis on Mondays between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. and Wednesdays between 9:30 and 11 a.m.
The Parkinson’s Support Group will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19.
