PARIS – Cadets from the U.S. Submarine School’s Marching Silver Dolphins in Groton, Conn., were treated to a turkey dinner recently by members of Foster-Carroll Post, American Legion and Auxiliary. The 20 drill team members led off the Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas parade. This is the 11th year the post entertained cadets from the school.

The unit recently donated funds to the Community Food Pantry, Christmas for Kids and Christmas for Teens, tree lights for the hospital and veterans’ home in memory of deceased members, Togus and the Western Maine Veterans Home gift shops, and gift certificates to two local veteran’s families in need.

Auxiliary dues should be submitted soon to the secretary-treasurer, Marilyn Ramsay.

The Legion post and auxiliary will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, and the Christmas party will include a supper of finger food at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10.
