WEST PARIS – Diane Muise of Auburn will present a concert of gospel and Chrismas music at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at the West Paris Baptist Church. Muise, an award winning singer and songwriter, performs more than 150 concerts a year. Most of her concerts also feature her 14-year-old son, Michael.
The public is invited. There is no admission charge, but a freewill offering will be received for the Muise Music Ministry.
Tree lighting
PARIS – The Western Maine Veteran’s Home Advisory Committee is offering a chance to honor friends and loved ones by lighting a bulb on the Tree of Caring. Bulbs in memory of a deceased loved one, who need not be a veteran, or to honor someone still alive, are $5 each.
Proceeds will be used for special activities and needs of residents of the home.

The tree lighting takes place at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12.
WIC services
BERLIN, N.H. – The Coos County Family Health Services Women, Infants and Children Program offers nutrition counseling, limited health checks, breastfeeding support and referrals to other community services.
Eligibility requirements include New Hampshire residence, pregnant or breastfeeding woman, new mother, or have an infant or child under 5 years ago. Household income guidelines range from $16,613 for a family of one or $39,849 for a family of five.
