FARMINGTON – A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle accident on Main Street Monday. Two vehicles were stopped in line when a vehicle bumped the last one in line and pushed it into a vehicle in front of it.
Christine Hand, 29, of Wilton, a passenger in one of two vehicles that were stopped waiting for pedestrians to cross the street, complained of neck pain, Farmington police officer Michael Wahl said.
Wahl said Kathi Farrington, 42, of Jay was first in line and stopped to let pedestrians cross the street, Wahl said.
Barbara Hand, 48, of Wilton was also stopped in her vehicle behind Farrington, Wahl said.
Evelyn Charles, 59, of Rome said she didn’t see the stopped vehicles and rear-ended Hand’s vehicle, which caused the chain reaction, Wahl said.
Christine Hand, who is pregnant, was taken to the hospital as a precaution, he said.
