1942-2003
BOISE, Id. – Allen Douglas Jones, 61, of Boise, Idaho, died peacefully Nov. 30 over the Thanksgiving holiday, surrounded by family and friends.
Born May 27, 1942, he fought against cancer that might have surprised his doctors but not those that knew and loved him.
Allen lived a full life, rarely sitting on the sidelines, always a participant and never a spectator. His passing leaves a stillness that will be noticed in this world.
Allen had a career in the Navy and worked for the State of Idaho Law Enforcement. His hobbies were hunting, cycling and renovating old homes.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; son, Douglas and wife, Diane; daughter, Ginger and husband, Donald of West Linn, Oregon; two grandchildren, Drayton and Audrey; father and stepmother, Charles and Elanor Jones of Hartford; brother, Charles (Ted) Jones of West Paris; and brothers, Walter and Gary of Connecticut.
