Bloodmobile visit

LIVERMORE FALLS – The American Red Cross bloodmobile will be at Murray Hall from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16. This blood drive is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Eligible donors are welcome to participate. As a safeguard against a winter shortage, Tom Miller, a Red Cross donor recruitment representative, advises people to bring a friend or two as well. “Blood donation is completely safe and very simple to do,” says Miller. “Many people are hesitant to donate, however, because they aren’t quite sure what to expect. Being invited to donate with a seasoned blood donor can help a newcomer become a donor for life.” Blood donors must be at least 17, in good health and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. There is no upper age limit. Most medications are acceptable. People can call 1-800-482-0743 with any questions about donating blood.
