1922 – 2003

LISBON FALLS – Marjorie L. Flaharty passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, at her residence.

She was born in Flint, Mich., Aug. 28, 1922, a daughter of George and Helen McMillan Keck Sr.

She graduated from Ashland High School in Ashland, Ohio.

In 1943, she married her beloved husband, Harold J. Flaharty, who passed away in May of 2000.

In her earlier years, she worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor. She always took great pride in herself in being the one who taught all three grandsons to swim so well.

She was a home maker for most of her married years, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her main focus was always the family. She was an avid golfer, who had many trophies marking her accomplishments.

She also loved to knit, sew and bake for the family.

She will be terribly missed by her daughter, Barbara F. Camp and her husband Joe of Lisbon Falls; three grandsons, Joe Camp Jr., Christopher J. Camp and Kevin M. Camp, all of Lisbon Falls; one great-granddaughter, Paige Ashleigh of Auburn; one sister, Mabel Quinn of Merritt Island, Fla.; and her best pal, Gino the bull dog.

She was pre-deceased by her husband and one brother, George Keck Jr.
