MEXICO – Last weekend’s snowstorm forced the Mexico First Baptist Church, 20 Roxbury Road, to cancel its special services with Michael and Paulie Heath. These services have been rescheduled for Sunday, Dec. 14. Michael Heath, director of the Christian Civic League of Maine, will be speaking at both the 9:30 a.m. Sunday School Hour and the 10:45 a.m. worship service. His wife, Paulie, an accomplished Christian recording artist, will accompany Michael and sing some special Christmas music. Pastor Robert Peters invites the public. Seniors plan trips

DIXFIELD – Neighborly Senior Citizens met on Nov. 19 with 85 present. A moment of silent prayer was observed in memory of Helen Whytock. The annual Christmas Fair was held. Entertainment was provided by Norman and Betty DeCoteau.

Sign up sheets were available for trips in 2004 trips. It was announced that a trip to Mohegan Sun-Foxwoods was being planned for April 7 and 8. Reservations have been made for the St. Patrick’s Shamrock Celebration at Indian Head for March 8. A trip to Niagara Falls is being planned for May. Anyone interested in any of these trips is asked to call Connie at 364-4189.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the Dixfield Legion. The meeting will start at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck dinner and entertainment by Silver and Gold. Members are asked to bring items for a Chinese auction. Membership in the Neighborly Senior Citizens is open to anyone age 50 and over. The 2004 membership cards will be available.
