WATERVILLE – Art works by Clarinda Andrews of Wales and Sonia Woodrum of Sabattus will be on display in the Thomas College Art Gallery during December.
Andrews formerly ran a dairy farm with her husband, Eugene Andrews, and retired as Wales tax collector in June 2000.
Woodrum is retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She holds an associate degree in liberal arts from the University of Maine at Augusta. A member of the Lakeside Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star, and Emblem Club 528 of Lewiston and the Sagadahoc County Beekeepers’ Association, she also includes making maple syrup among her hobbies.
Oil painting is a favorite medium of Woodrum, whose works often focus on nature themes. Andrews also focuses on nature themes, painting in oil and watercolor.
Their work will be displayed in the Thomas College Art Gallery from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The gallery is located on the second floor of the Main Administration Building on campus, 180 West River Road.
