RICHMOND (AP) – A Richmond man was killed Saturday morning after his car left Route 24 and struck a rock planter next to a driveway, police said.
Raymond King III, 26, was discovered in his car off the road at about 6:45 a.m., but the accident is believed to have occurred about 1:30 a.m., Richmond police Officer Allen Huntington told the Kennebec Journal.
Huntington said excessive speed appears to be a factor in the crash, and that a blood test will be performed for alcohol. He said King was not wearing a seat belt.
