FARMINGTON – Franklin Community Health Network is sponsoring a holiday card contest for children up to and including the sixth-grade who live in the greater Franklin County region.

Two grand-prize winners, one for the best design and one for best message will be selected, as well as runner-up winners from each school. This year’s theme is “What I Love Most about Celebrating the Holiday Season.”

Organizer Jill Gray said, “This is the 10th year of this event and hundreds of entries are received each year.”

Colored entries should be submitted on 8-by-11 inch white paper. Entries should include the student’s name, age and school on the back. The entry deadline is Friday, Dec. 19.

“All artwork will be displayed at Franklin Memorial Hospital this holiday season,” Gray added.

The winning design will be the cover of the 2004 Franklin Community Health Network holiday card, and the winning message will be featured inside the card.

The cards will be sold at the hospital’s gift shop during next year’s holiday season. They will also be sent out as a holiday greeting to friends and supporters of the hospital and health network.

For more information on the card contest, people can contact Gray at 779-2555.
