1916-2003
LEWISTON – Lucille C. Morin, 87, formerly of 26 Wood St. and Meadowview in Lewiston, died early Monday morning, Dec. 15, at Marshwood Health Care Facility, following a long illness.
Born in Winslow, July 23, 1916, the daughter of Napoleon and Odelie (Morrisette) Garneau, she moved to Lewiston in 1933.
Mrs. Morin had been employed for 20 years in the Weave Room of Continental Mill and was an LPN for 20 years at Marcotte Nursing Home, until her retirement.
She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church and the Lewiston Senior Citizens. She was an avid reader and loved to watch Tiger Woods play golf.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Jeannine) Grondin of Lewiston; one son, Dennis Morin of Lewiston; one sister, Jeannette Ashton of Lewiston; two brothers, Ernest Garneau of Lisbon and Raymond Garneau of Lewiston; one sister-in-law, Dora Garneau of Lewiston; six grandchildren, Andrew and Melanie Morin, Donald and Susan Grondin, Diane Belanger and Elaine Pacileo; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert C. Morin, who died in 1964; one son, Robert Morin who died in 1968; two brothers, Lionel and Armand Garneau; one sister, Fern Ladd and one sister-in-law, Helen.
