EUSTIS – The eighth annual Polar Blast Winter Carnival, a celebration of winter in Maine’s northwestern mountains, will take place Feb. 5, 6 and 7 in the villages of Eustis and Stratton.

Scheduled events are: Feb. 5, Casino night at Stratton Plaza; Feb. 6, bonfire and kick-off with a sliding party and buffet and live entertainment at local establishments; Feb. 7, radar run, poker run, snow sculptures, raffles, ride-in breakfasts, polar putting, chili and chowder cook-off, prizes and awards at 4 p.m. at Stratton Plaza. There will be a super raffle and live entertainment at local establishments in the evening.
