1944 – 2003

LEWISTON – Forrest B. Frees, 59, of 28 Washington St., Auburn died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 16, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Portland April 7, 1944, the son of Alpheus and Rose (Varrell) Frees. He was employed in the shoe industry as a machine operator and also did woodworking.

He served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam era. He had been a resident of this community all of his life. In his spare time he enjoyed his grandchildren, being with family and friends and he also enjoyed electronics. He was a big CB enthusiast with “Iron Hammer” as his handle.

He is survived by his wife the former Theresa Desrosiers whom he married June 15, 1979; one son, Brian Keith Frees of Otisfield; three daughters, Tammy Ouellette and her husband Timmy, Patricia Frees and Felicia Rowe all of Auburn; two sisters, Ruth Kyllonen and Ellen Rowe both of Lewiston; nine grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
