Children’s pageant
PARIS – The First Congregational Church will present a brief children’s Christmas pageant at the start of the Sunday service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 21. The regular service will follow. The Rev. Don Mayberry’s sermon will be on “Christmas Joy.” There will be no Sunday school. Child care is provided for very young children.

Sunday sermon topics
NORWAY – “A Multitude of Angels” is the sermon topic for the 10 a.m. service Sunday, Dec. 21, at the Second Congregational Church. Open house will be held at the parsonage from 2 to 5 p.m.
Topic for the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, Dec. 28, will be “Blessing of the Gifts.” Everyone is invited to bring Christmas gifts to be blessed.
Holiday caroling Sunday
WATERFORD – The Rev. George Frobig invites the public to meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at the North Waterford Congregational Church to go Christmas caroling. Carolers will visit shut-ins and others in the North Waterford and Stoneham area.
The group will return to the church in time for apotluck supper at 5 p.m. More caroling and a visit from Santa will follow supper.

Lifestyle seminar
WOODSTOCK – A lifestyle seminar titled StepFast to GOAL (Giving Over Appetite to the Lord) will be held starting at 6 p.m. Jan. 6 at Thurlow Hall, Perkins Valley Road, South Woodstock, and continue for 12 Tuesday nights. Samples of recipes will be demonstrated and served.
Registration is $25 per person or $60 for a family of three or more. The cost includes materials, recipes and samples. Financial arrangements available.

Historical society held meeting
WEST PARIS – The West Paris Historical Society recently held its Christmas meeting at the Bradford House Bed and Breakfast. Members reminisced about past Christmases and exchanged gifts.
