JAY – Kaylie DeMillo nailed 23 points, including five treys, as Jay notched a 53-47 victory over Livermore Falls in MVC girls’ basketball action Thursday.

The Tigers (4-1) rallied from a 30-24 deficit at the half on DeMillo’s four second half 3-point field goals. Sara Fetterhoff contributed 15 points with 11 rebounds.

Sophomores Jenika Kelly and Taryn Flagg shared team-high scoring with 12 points apiece for the Andies (1-3) in the loss.

Mt. Abram 38,

Winthrop 32

SALEM – Senior forward Emily Stinchfield scored 11 points as Mt. Abram executed a balanced attack in a 38-32 triumph over Winthrop in MVC girls’ basketball action Thursday.

The Roadrunners (4-1) took a comfortable 24-13 lead at the half. Katie Walker chipped in with seven points.

Katie Pushard led the Ramblers (1-4) with eight points on three field goals and a pair from the line in the loss.

Madison 55, Lisbon 22

MADISON – Chelsey Pierpont scored a game high 11 points for Madison en route to a 55-22 dismanteling of Lisbon Thursday night.

Cassie Stewart (10) and Breanna Conners (8) combined for 18 points for the Bulldogs who improved their record to 2-3 on the season. Krystal Doughty led the offense for the Greyhounds (0-5) with 8 points, while teammate Dominique Mathieu tossed in 6 in the losing effort.

Gould 39, Elan 16

BETHEL – Heather Kelleher recorded 13 points as Gould sailed to a 39-16 victory over Elan in girls’ basketball action Thursday.

The Huskies (1-2) danced to a 23-2 lead at the halfpoint. Suzie Jump added eight points on four field goals in the win.

Shirley Vogtritter and Nicole Graham tallied six points apiece for Elan.

Winthrop 59,

Mt. Abram 40

SALEM – Senior guard Matt McCarthy scored a blistering 32 points to lift Winthrop to a 59-40 win over Mt. Abram in MVC boys’ basketball action Thursday.

Joey Burnham provided steam in the Ramblers’ (2-2) offense with 23 rebounds. Aaron Adams had a team-high for the Roadrunners with nine points in the loss.

Gould 52, Elan 32

BETHEL – Karl Olson scored 15 points, while Whitney Stowell recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds as Gould cleaned house in a 52-32 win over Elan .

The Huskies (3-1) also received offensive support from Quinn McAllister, who had 10 points. Ben Dryer had a game-high 17 points for Elan.
