ORONO – Heather Ernest and Monica Petersson each scored 25 points to lead the University of Maine to an 85-73 win over Rider College in women’s basketball action Sunday afternoon at the Alfond Arena.

The Black Bears (5-3) used a 47-35 run in the second half to put the game out of reach as Ernest hauled down a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with her 25 points.

The Broncos (2-7) were led by Leanne Moore with a game-high 26 points that included four, three-pointers.
