SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) – Rastislaf Stana turned aside all 46 shots he faced as he shut down the Springfield offense and shut out the Falcons 1-0 in an American Hockey League win for the Portland Pirates.

Mike Pudlick scored the only goal of the game on the power play at 16:23 of the opening period with Springfield sitting out a penalty for having too many men on the ice.

Stana improved to 5-3-1 while Portland improved to 11-14-2-3. The Falcons fell to 9-15-4-1.
