We won’t be cutting a Christmas tree from our woods this year. In fact, we won’t be celebrating at all this year. You see, our 19-year-old son, our only child, is in Iraq, thanks to our president.
When he has his family gathered round for a cozy Crawford Christmas, I wonder if he’ll even give a thought to the thousands of families who are separated, some permanently, because of his actions.
But then, I forget, he took care of his obligations toward the troops on Thanksgiving when he spent all of 2 hours in Baghdad. I guess that erases all the heartache and anguish he has caused.
