PARIS – Students of the Month for December at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School are Tyler Bennett, freshman; Hans Melhus, sophomore; Joshua Twitchell, junior; and Abby Elliott, senior. This year is the fourth year of the Oxford Hills Rotary Club’s sponsorship of this program.

Each month, the high school staff nominates students who they feel have made a difference in their classroom. The goal of the program is to reward teamwork, positive behavior, extra effort and good student citizenship. The program is coordinated through the Oxford Hills Community Education Exchange.

These four students were praised for their willingness to help others, excellent work ethic and leadership skills.

The students’ names and picture are placed on a plaque that hangs in the hallway across from the school library. In addition, each month the four students enjoy pizza with the principal and at the end of the year all of the students will be honored at a Rotary breakfast.
