STRONG – Deborah Wing was recently named Employee of the Month at the Strong Nursing Home. Wing is the social service director and has worked in many different jobs there for the past 22 years.

“My passion is the role I play in residents’ lives,” Wing said. “The residents are my extended family.” Wing also enjoys the contact with resident’s families.

Wing spends many hours planning and preparing for special events at the facility such as Family Day and the Resident Family Christmas Party. She has successfully organized 22 family day events. Each event is bigger and better than the last. She has also done 22 Christmas parties.

She lives in West Freeman with husband, Mike, and youngest children, Jordan and Chelsea. Her oldest daughter, Erin, is out on her own and also works at Strong Nursing Home.
