Western Maine League

Oxford Hills remained the lone unbeaten team in the Girls Division of the Western Maine Youth Basketball League (Grades 5-6) Sunday with a 40-17 victory over Area Youth Sports of Jay-Livermore. Megan Joyce poured in 22 points for the winners. Kathryn Lake led AYS with 7.

In other action, Dixfield remained atop the North Division standings with a 35-26 win over Turner. Alyssa Oldham tossed in 15 for the Dixies, as did Courtney Anderson for Turner.

Kristen Prue netted 12 and Heidi Nadeau added 10 as Auburn-Lewiston YMCA entered the win column for the first time, a 30-24 triumph over North Franklin. Jade Luce (10) and Heather Campbell (7) led North Franklin.

Wilton defeated Auburn Rec 29-12 as Jenny Kobischen scored 14 and Ashley Paul 8. Auburn was paced by Hillary Turcotte with 6.

Jan. 4 schedule: Wilton at Auburn YMCA, North Franklin at Auburn Rec, Turner at AYS, Oxford Hills at Dixfield.
