JAY – A Jay man faces an array of charges after he was told Sunday to leave a Forest Circle residence and then returned. He also allegedly damaged a police cruiser and spit on people during the incident.

Tyrell Waldon, 20, was charged with assault, refusing to submit to arrest, criminal trespassing, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, police Cpl. Jeffrey Fournier said.

After Waldon returned to the site, Fournier said police were called.

Officer Eric Goodrow charged him with criminal trespassing, but Waldon refused to leave and resisted arrest, Fournier said.

Waldon damaged the inside of a police cruiser door and the metal protector on the window, the corporal said.

It was estimated that the door received $500 in damage, he said.

Waldon spit on individuals at the residence, Fournier said, and he was charged with assault for that.

Waldon was released from jail Sunday on $21,000 unsecured bail. He has a Feb. 25 court date in Farmington.
