1924 – 2003

LEWISTON – Marjorie Coulombe, 79, of 4 Dragoons Road., Rumford, died Monday, Dec. 29, at Central Maine Medical Center from tragic injuries resulting from an auto accident. She was comforted, by knowing her family was at her bedside.

She was born in Rumford on Sept. 6, 1924, the daughter of William and Rose (Chabot) Gautreau. She attended St. Athanasius, St. John Catholic school. She married Vito Coulombe in 1944. She spent many years at Diamond National in Peru and Bass Shoe in Rumford.

She is a life long member of Le Parasseux Snowshoe Club and Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She loved life, mostly her family and friends. She was always on the go, and enjoyed her BINGO. There would be BINGO every night of the week and she would be first in line.

She loved camping. She spent time at the Snowshoe Campground and knowing that she would be there was something to look forward to. Dressing up as an Indian during the Holiday Picnic Party. And pulling her SKUNK around at the fireplaces at nighttime get togethers. She loved to yodel.

She is survived and remembered by her husband, Vito of 59 years; daughter, Sheila and her husband Roland Delamater of West Paris; six sons, Gerard and his wife Cindie of Dixfield, Robert and his wife Cindy of Winthrop, David of Rumford, Vito Jr. and his wife Melody of Rumford, Michael and his fianceé, Rae-Jean Thomas of Rumford, Chester and his wife Charlotte of Kentucky; grandchildren, Jacie Child, Trinity Wilson, Briana Canulli, Heith Bernard, Gerard Coulombe, Brittany Coulombe, Andrew Coulombe, Jacob Coulombe, Smantha J. Arsenault, and Rose M. Arsenault; great-grandchildren, Katie Child, DJ Canulli, Katilyn Canulli, Trever Wilson, Bryce Wilson, Aurora Martin; brothers, Erene Gautreau of Rumford and Chester Gautreau of Florida; sisters, Alfreda Bernard of Rumford and Lorraine Arsenault of Colorado.

She was predeceased by a brother, (Tex) William Gautreau; sister, Gerry Lyons; and first daughter, Susan Rose.
