Brainstorming meeting set

PHILLIPS – A Youth Center and activities planning meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the United Methodist Church. A meeting will be held on the first Wednesday of each month to “brainstorm about youth activities.” Everyone is welcome to attend. Public reception

FARMINGTON – A public reception will be held to honor and remember the dedicated service given by Maureen Hickey and Patricia Tripp to Franklin County Head Start and Child Care. It will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Holman House at 227 Main St.

Hickey and Tripp, two longtime employees of Franklin County Head Start and Child Care, are leaving their positions in early January. Together, they have more than 50 years of service to young children and their families in Franklin County.

Friends, co-workers and community members are invited to stop by the open house. As a thank you for the many years of service, donations for a gift for each will be accepted.

Task force to meet

FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will hold its annual directors meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the task force’s conference room at 113 Church St. Community members are invited to attend.
