WINTHROP – Anita D. James, 77, of East Road, Wales, died Friday, Jan. 2, at Nicholson Nursing Home.

She was born in Chelsea, March 12, 1926, the daughter of Aime and Florence LaBeau Quintal.

Mrs. James was a homemaker and was married April 5, 1944 to Alfred R. James, who predeceased her on April 22, 2000.

She enjoyed the great outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and dogs; and cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Beaule and her husband Dana of Lewiston; a son, Ronald James and his wife Rita of Wales; two grandchildren, Jeff and Michlene Beaule; three brothers, Paul Quintal and his wife Marcel of Nobleboro, Herman Quintal and his wife Dorothy of Freeport, and Morris Quintal and his wife Judy of Randolph.

She was predeceased by a brother, Philip Quintal.
