1915 – 2004

LEWISTON – Lionel M. Biron, 88, of 93 Dumont Ave., died Friday, Jan. 2, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston, June 3, 1915, the son of Joseph and Rosa Morin Biron. He was educated in Lewiston schools and was married May 31, 1941 to Jeanne d’Arc R. Rodrigue.

He was employed for many years for C & M Plumbing Company, and later worked at Bath Iron Works until his retirement in 1980.

He was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Holy Cross Senior Citizens, Lewiston Senior Citizens, Knights of Columbus Council #106 of Lewiston, Covenant 50 and Horizon 55.

He is survived by his wife of Lewiston; four daughters, Diane Lavertu and her husband Florian of Lewiston, Claire Biron of California, Claudette Vail and her husband David of Massachusetts, and Rachel Moine and husband Larry of California; two sons, Normand Biron and his wife Helen of Texas, and Larry Biron of Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lucille Gagnon of Massachusetts.

He was predeceased by a son, Ronald Biron in 1970; and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Biron on Dec. 5, 2003.
