1935 – 2004
LEWISTON – Dorothy Evelyn Keene, 68, of 257 Park St., died Sunday, Jan. 4, at CMMC with her loving family at her side.
Born in Lewiston, Aug. 12, 1935, she was the daughter of Harold Frank Sr. and Dorothy Rollins Keene. She attended Auburn schools and was a life long resident of the twin cities.
She spent her working years in the shoe industry, retiring from Jones & Vining. “Dottie” was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt. She loved children and was happiest at family gatherings, playing mini golf, Chinese checkers, Yahtzee and watching the little ones.
She will be sadly missed by all her siblings, sisters, Edie Cox, Florence Corey, Peggy Wagg, Eleanor Fogg and her husband Clayton, Jeanie Briggs, Pat Arnold, Carol Charest and husband Ray, Midge Short and Brenda Cottle; brothers, Harold Keene Jr. and wife Nancy, Clyde Keene and wife Judy, Lawrence (Chuck) Keene and Dennis Keene and wife Jeanne; as well as all her nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
She was predeceased by her parents; and one sister, Phyllis Marie.
