LEWISTON – The Lewiston Emblem Club 528 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Lewiston Lodge of Elks, 1675 Lisbon St. All members are encouraged to attend.

The club is affiliated with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and is looking for new members.

Time change

AUBURN – Danville Junction Grange 65 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at the hall. (Note the time change. All future meetings will start at 7 instead of 7:30.)

The speaker will be Barbara Randall, a retired Edward Little High School teacher and former dean of women at Bates College. She will talk on Senior College, which is held at L A College.

Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are invited.

Class meeting

PORTLAND – The 1953 class from St. Patrick’s Grammar School of Lewiston will meet at noon Friday, Jan. 9, at the home of Janice Louise Simpson Spencer, 37 Birchwood Drive, Portland. All class members are invited. They will share photos and memories.

Council to meet

AUBURN – Twin City Council 160, United Commercial Travelers of America, will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Odd Fellow’s Hall, Elm Street.

A spaghetti supper will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome to attend.
