Incidents

• Jan. 5 – Reports of two more broken windows found at Mountain Valley High School; damage estimated at $500. The panes were believed to have been broken over the Christmas holiday along with another window found broken and reported on Dec. 30. Police found a golf ball in one of the windows.

• Jan. 3, 6:01 p.m. – Pedestrian Ralph Sirois, 75, of Rumford, was struck by a vehicle driven by Katrina Milliken, 28, of Rumford, while walking at 99 Maine Ave. According to the police report, Milliken said she turned onto Maine Avenue from Washington Street and didn’t see Sirois, who was wearing dark clothing, not in a crosswalk and at a spot where there are no streetlights. Sirois complained of shoulder pain and was treated by Med-Care Ambulance medics. Milliken was not injured, and her car was not damaged.

• Jan. 3, 3:36 p.m. – Ice-packed snow and slush on Wyman Hill Road caused Cynthia Coulombe, 45, of Winthrop, to lose control of her 1996 Ford Explorer near the power lines. The SUV skidded into a snowbank and rolled off the road, sustaining an estimated $5,000 damage. Police said it was totaled. Coulombe, who said she was not injured, was transported to Rumford Hospital by Med-Care Ambulance as a precaution.

Arrests

• Russell J. Dupree, 40, of Rumford, on charges of disorderly conduct and simple assault, on Jan. 3. He was transported to Oxford County jail in Paris.

• Peter J. Spadea, 29, of Mexico, on charges of failure to stop for a police officer and driving to endanger, on Jan. 3. He was also summoned on a charge of failing to stop for a stop sign. Spadea was released on $300 unsecured bail.

• Norman W. Johnson, 33, of Rumford, on charges of domestic assault and obstructing the report of a crime or injury, on Jan. 3. He was transported to Oxford County jail.

• Victoria R. Taylor, 51, of Dixfield, on a charge of operating under the influence (second offense). She was released on $1,000 unsecured bail.

Summons

• Holly Lecours, 47, of Rumford, on charges of operating after suspension and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, on Jan. 4. on Franklin Street.

• Peter Orino, 37, of Rumford, on a charge of criminal mischief, on Jan. 3 at Black Mountain Ski Area.
