Lady Hornets win two

TURNER – The Lady Hornets of Turner-Greene captured a pair of games in weekend action in the Central Maine Girls Travel Basketball League (Grades 7-8).

The Lady Hornets turned back Lawrence 35-18 as Juliana Kirkland netted 10 points. Jess Fields added 5. Alicia Dill chipped in with a hoop and played tough defense.

In an overtime thriller, the Lady Hornets nipped the Gardiner Tigers 23-19. Ashley Bryant scored 4 of her game high 8 points in the extra frame. Ariane Bowie collected 4 points.
