CANTON – Last month’s flooding in Canton claimed another victim – the town’s annual winter festival.
The 2004 WinterFest, a Canton High Riders Snowmobile Club event, was scheduled for Saturday.
The WinterFest is usually staged on a large field four miles north of Canton village on Route 108.
In past years the festival drew families and snowmobile enthusiasts for radar runs, snowmachine displays, food, socializing and children’s activities.
