LEWISTON – Lewiston Area Youth Hockey’s Royal Flooring Peewee Travel Tier II team compiled a 2-1 record during the weekend.

Brian Elie, Sam Cloutier and Matt Lamare each scored a goal as Lewiston beat Casco Bay 3-1. Receiving assists were Lamare and Trevar Haefele. Cam Poussard was the winning goalie. Pat Griffen tallied the lone Casco goal.

Lewiston dropped a 3-1 decision to Midcoast as Cody Lessard netted the only goal. Josh Charest tended net. Kyle Williams scored twice for Midcoast. Brandon Barrett also lit the lamp.

The Lewiston Travelers got back on the winning track with a 4-2 triumph over Penobscot Valley Hockey Club. Steve Gendron notched a hat trick. Cooper Legee collected the other goal. Credited with assists were Cody Dussault and Elie. Charest and Poussard shared the goaltending duties. Cody Cross tallied both PVHC goals.

Auburn Youth Hockey

AUBURN – Auburn Peewees edged Maranacook 6-5 as Ethan Ward registered his first hat trick plus an assist. Erik Wirzuski added 2 goals and 2 assists. Matt Cote tallied a goal and 2 assists. Also assisting were Elizabeth Barclay (2) and Cody Russell.

In a return match at Kents Hill, Auburn again squeezed out a victory, 3-2. Jacob Lapierre was outstanding in net. Matt Reed scored all 3 goals. Gaining assists were Josh Prue, Zachary Daigle and Derek Gagne.
