NORWAY – The Oxford County Democrats will be dispatching volunteers to secure signatures from registered Democrats on nominating petitions for the re-election of Congressman Mike Michaud on Saturday, Jan. 10.

Petition Day will conclude with a pizza party from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Fare Share Commons on Main Street in Norway. Michaud and staff will be in attendance, and the Oxford County Democrats will award a prize for the most signatures collected prior to 4 p.m. County Chairwoman Cathy Newell announced that the signature gathering for Michaud and for local candidates will continue throughout the weeks leading up to Caucus Day, Feb. 8.

Petition Day organizers include Myra Bethell in Fryeburg, Marlee Turner in Brownfield, Hilary Ware and Marge Medd in Norway, Lynn Baker in Waterford, Cathy Newell in Greenwood, Nancy Willard, Ben Shimamura and Maryellen Gartner in Woodstock, Linda and Bill Petrie in Mexico, Terry Hayes in Buckfield, John Patrick, Kim Sequoia and Mitzi Sequoia in Rumford, and Pam Pace and Bruce Bryant in Dixfield.
