JAY – School Committee members are scheduled to hold a special budget work session Thursday prior to its regular meeting.

The workshop is to be held from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Middle School cafeteria.

Superintendent Robert Wall said he would give the committee an overview of the proposed budget highlights.

At 6 p.m. the board is scheduled to move to the library for the regular meeting.

A student disciplinary hearing is expected to be conducted first, Wall said.

It will probably last about a half hour, he said, but it could be shorter. Then the School Committee is scheduled to take up news of the schools and financial reports and any new business there might be.

Wall, according to the agenda, is requesting an executive session for teacher and educational support staff negotiations prior to the board adjourning.
