1918 – 2004

LEWISTON – Theresa M. Vachon, 85, of Court St., Auburn, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in West Warwick, R.I., Feb. 2, 1918, the daughter of Arcilia Beney. She was educated in the Rhode Island, school system. On May 27, 1939, she married Roland Vachon who passed away June 4, 1964.

Mrs. Vachon worked for many years at Lawrence Bottle Co. and later was employed at Billen Shoe Co. retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Louis Parish.

She enjoyed embroidering, playing pinochle, and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.

She leaves three daughters, Pauline Wilder and husband Sid of Monmouth, Claire Poulin and husband Roger of Sebring, Fla., and Irene Lavertu and husband Richard of Auburn; two grandchildren, Derek Lavertu of Minneapolis, Minn., and Terry Roy and husband Steve of Lisbon; three great-grandchildren, Tristen, Sheldon, and Stevanie Roy of Lisbon; four stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Yvonne St. Pierre, Liane Lebrun and husband Paul both of Lewiston, Cecile St. Pierre of California, Fleurette Benoit of Connecticut; one brother-in-law, Roger Vachon and wife Priscilla of Florida.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Edmond Benoit and Joseph Beney.
