1911 – 2004

PORTLAND – William “Willy” F. Perry, 92, widower of Eva McPhee, of 282 River Road, Mexico, died Jan. 5, at the Maine Medical Center where he had been a patient for 10 days.

Born in Yarmouth, Jan. 11, 1911, the son of Joseph and Mary Arsenault Perry, he was a resident of the greater Rumford area most of his life.

He attended St. John’s Parochial School and was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church.

He was retired from the Boise-Cascade Paper Group of Rumford on the Number 11 paper machine, retiring with 39 years of service.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Atlantic.

He was a member of the 25-Year Club of Retired Boise-Cascade Employees.

Survivors include a daughter, Gayle Perry of Farmington; three sons, Kenneth of Portland, James and his wife, Darlene of South Portland and Daniel of Scarborough; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward of Roxbury Pond; and a sister, Mrs. Ernest (Margaret) Venskus of Rumford.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Onizime, Stanley and Henry; and two sisters, Lucy and Rose Perry.
