Task force to meet
FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will hold its annual directors meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at its conference room at 113 Church St. Community members are invited to attend. Plan for college
WILTON – The Maine Educational Opportunity Center offers adults free workshops in college planning, financial aid, career decision making and study skills. An interactive workshop, “MEOC 101: The Essentials of College Planning,” will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the East Wilton CareerCenter. Preregistration is required. Parenting forum
WILTON – A parenting forum will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on High Street on Internet safety. Self-esteem
FARMINGTON – Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community will offer a six-week self-esteem class from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, starting Jan. 27 and ending March 9, at 108 Perham St. Participants will learn ways to challenge old, destructive beliefs and nourish positive thoughts and feelings about themselves. This supportive workshop will give them the tools to start living a rich and rewarding life. There is no fee for participants.
