The boy, 16, had earlier told police he did not know where Stephanie Castro had gone.

FARMINGTON – Police found Stephanie Castro, a Farmington teen missing since Saturday, on Thursday morning at her boyfriend’s home in Wilton.

Farmington police officer Christopher Chase said he received a few phone calls from various places throughout the state after people saw Castro’s photo in the newspaper.

Castro, 15, was last seen in her pajamas by her mother Yolanda Trundy at 3:30 a.m. Saturday at their home on Ramsdell Road home. Castro had run away a month prior and police found her in Jay. Police believed she had voluntarily left her home again this time.

Officer Nathan Reid said he had checked with Castro’s 16-year-old boyfriend and he claimed to not know where she was.

Chase said he checked at Mount Blue High School Thursday and Castro’s boyfriend had been absent all week.

Chase went to the house and talked to boyfriend and his parents.

Castro was there, Chase said.

Chase said he brought Castro to the Police Department and called in the state Department of Human Services to assist the teen with her concerns.

Castro’s father, David Castro lives in Indiana and learned about her disappearance Thursday. He planned to contact police to check on his daughter, said Arlene Nunez, who contacted the Sun Journal on his behalf.
