ANDOVER – As part of the Andover Bicentennial Winter Carnival 2004 celebration, the Andover Bicentennial Committee will host a classic cross-country race, Saturday, Feb. 28. This will be a family event and both competitive and recreational skiers are welcome.
Teen and adult races will begin at 9:30 a.m. Those divisions are ages 14-15, 16-17, 18-25, 26-39 and 40-older. Racers will have the option to ski either a 5k or 10k course.
Youth races, under the direction of Bill Koch Youth Ski League, will start at 11:00, Those divisions are: Lollipop, ages 8-under; J5, 8-9 (1.5k course); J4, 10-11 (2.5k); and J3, 12-13, (3.5k).
All races will have timed interval starts and medals will be awarded for first, second and third place for males and females in each division. Special Andover Bicentennial ribbons will be given to each participant.

The Andover Winter Carnival Committee is seeking volunteers to assist with registration, scoring, time keeping, trail checkers, etc.
