LEWISTON – The Lewiston Peewee Pirates earned 2 more wins in recent action. The Pirates defeated Rockport 9-3 as Cam Obie and Brian Lagasse both notched a hat trick. Adding a goal each were Nick Urquhart, Ryan Urquhart and Drew Bent. Assists went to Lagasse (3), Obie, Josh Smith, Reece Teixeira, Patrick Collins, Eagan Nadeau and Bent. Willie Tyner and Logan Van Vlack shared the net duties. . . The Pirates also edged Western Maine 7-6 as Lagasse collected all of the goals. Drawing assists were Obie and Nadeau. Tyner and Van Vlack were solid in net. Playing tough defense both games was Jared Bourgoin.

GNG-/Poland bows

Gray-New Gloucester/Poland dropped a 4-1 decision to Westbrook in recent youth hockey action. Codie Keene tallied the long GNG-Poland goal. Sean Bilodeau and Nick Roy took turns in net. Zack Johnson scored a hat trick for Westbrook. Zach Souza netted the other goal. Tyler Rand drew an assist. Zach Joy was the winning goalie.
