NORWAY- A conversation with photographer Alan Day will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Fare Share Commons, 447 Main St.
The subject of discussion will be “Transparency, Vulnerability and Truth: Art as Intimacy” as it relates to the exhibit on display at the Commons. That is titled 50/50–Threshold: Expo?…Sure!
The show is a lifelong retrospective of Day’s work, using images and artifacts from his early childhood through to his photographic art of the present. While the topic of conversation Friday evening can range from interpretation of specific pieces of work to the role of photography in producing abstract visual art, the focus of the discussion is proposed to be an investigation of the artist as storyteller/autobiographer.
The discussion is free and open to the public. For information phone 743-0165.
