BETHEL – Prior to the Planning Board’s 7 p.m. meeting, Wednesday, Jan. 14, a site walk will be conducted at a gravel pit processing operation proposed for expansion.

At 3 p.m., planners are to meet at Keith Durgin’s Bear River Sand and Gravel – Woodwaste Processing, Composting and Rock Crushing business on the Paris Road.

At 6:30 p.m., the Sign Committee is to meet in the town office to discuss Ed Kennett’s sign application for Kennett Realty at 45 Broad St.

A public hearing on Durgin’s site plan application is to be held at 6:45 p.m. Darryl Brown of Main-Land Development Consultants Inc. of Livermore Falls is representing Durgin.

Having found Durgin’s application complete at the board’s Dec. 10 meeting, the task Wednesday night is to begin evaluating whether the project meets town performance standards.

Planners also intend to discuss the project’s proposed hours of operation, issues regarding proximity to a natural gas pipeline, noise, and hazardous waste as it pertains to an aquifer under the property.

Other agenda items include:

• Action on Kennett’s sign application

• Continued discussion of a site plan amendment for Jay Boshchetti’s proposed antique shop at 155 W. Bethel Road.

• A site plan amendment for David Lane’s Chosun Restaurant on Main Street.

• A subdivision application for the proposed Birch Woods Subdivision on the Mayville Road (Route 2) by Savage Land Development LLC.

• Annual election of officers.
